A battle is coming to Starz this weekend, but if you're not a fan of Neil Gaiman's 2001 novel, you might not quite know what you're in for. Three more series regular roles have been cast in Starz' American Gods TV series. The Borgias' Sean Harris will play leprechaun Mad Sweeney. Yetide Badaki of Aquarius fame is set as Bilquis, an ancient goddess of love. Bruce Langley has been cast as Technical Boy, one of the new gods. This is Langley's first television role.
The trio joins Emily Browning, Ian McShane, and Ricky Wittle, who were previously cast. Browning will play Laura Moon. McShane was cast as Mr. Wednesday. Ricky Whittle is Shadow Moon. Bryan Fuller and Michael Green are writers and showrunners. The series begins shooting in April.

Starz’s adaptation of “American Gods” have added Sean Harris, Yetide Badaki and Bruce Langley to its growing cast, TheWrap has learned. Ricky Whittle stars in the adaptation of the Neil Gaiman novel, which portrays a war between the old gods of biblical and mythological roots and a new group of gods “reflecting society’s modern love of money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs.” Emily Browning and Ian McShane also star.
