When Bethenny Frankel was on Rhony, she would talk about how distant she was from her mother, Bernadette Birk. The Big Bang Theory is an ensemble cast show where every character serves a particular point in the story. That’s why it’s impossible to say who is more important for the narrative, as without any of them the show would never be the same.
Of course, we could have lived without some of the side characters, even if by paying the price of leaving out many ridiculous storylines and funny scenes. But apparently, there were some people who we even didn’t notice being left out of the story.
The people we are talking about are actually Penny's friends, introduced gradually under different circumstances. However, as the story progressed, even Penny's few friends ended up in the void. But why? Is it really Leonard's fault?
Well, there are some fan theories that Leonard drove away all of Penny's friends, not in a brutal alpha-male way, but by...

The Big Bang Theory, a comedy sitcom about a group of scientist friends that deal with their love life and career achievements throughout the whole series, came to its end back in 2019 with a seemingly good turn of events for every main character.
And while most of them indeed showed up on the peak of their life in all aspects, one particular character’s storyline still seems to have been unfinished.
In the show’s finale Sheldon and Amy are a happy couple that receives the Nobel Prize in Physics after having worked together on super asymmetry, Leonard and Penny are expecting their first child and Howard also happily lives with Bernadette and their two children.
The only one that can’t really boast of anything significant is Rajesh Koothrappalli, in the series portrayed by Kunal Nayyar.

30 years after the release of “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert,” the cult classic from director Stephan Elliott is getting a sequel. Original trio of stars Terence Stamp, Guy Pearce and Hugo Weaving will return to their roles for the new film.
Elliott will return as director, writer and producer, and is seeking a producing partner for the sequel. The colorful 1994 film follows a transgender woman named Bernadette (Stamp) and two drag queens, Adam Whitely/Felicia Jollygoodfellow (Weaving) and Tick/Mitzi Del Bra (Pearce) as they road trip around the Australian Outback in a bus nicknamed Priscilla.
Plot details for the sequel are still under wraps, but it will feature a grown-up version of Tick’s 7-year-old son from the original flick.

Exclusive: Stephan Elliott, who directed the celebrated cult classic The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, tells this column that a sequel “is happening” and that the original movie’s stars Terence Stamp, Guy Pearce and Hugo Weaving are back “on board” 30 years after the film’s initial release.
“I’m not repeating myself, we’ll start the new film in Australia, but by God, we’re going on one helluva journey,” Elliott reveals.
“The original cast is on board, I’ve got a script that everybody likes, we’re still working out deals. … It’s happening,” he adds with brio.
Since it played a midnight screening in Un Certain Regard at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival, Priscilla has become a byword for glittering, extravagant excess. That was a party night to remember; except I was there and all I can remember is getting back to my hotel at 6 a.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 Episode 9 “Semper Fi.”] It’s not easy to make a person see that they need help, as is the case with Joe Jr. (Michael Trotter) on Law & Order: Organized Crime when his brothers, Elliot (Christopher Meloni) and Randall (Dean Norris) try to hold an intervention after finding drugs in his hotel room. Joe goes on the defensive, even bringing up how his brothers got into it at that (already infamous) Stabler family dinner and refusing any help, especially Randall’s rehab pitch. He storms out and goes to Randall’s, where their mother Bernadette (Ellen Burstyn) is staying to ask about her rainy day stash because he needs to leave town for a bit. Then, when she says she spent it, he grabs the Mickey Mantle-signed baseball and storms out. Can he stop himself from selling it in his current emotional state? “No, I don’t ...

A Powerful New Case Hits Home for Stabler on What Could Be Law & Order: Organized Crime's Final Case
Drug addiction is one of the most heartbreaking diseases in the world.
Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 Episode 9 hit all the right notes, balancing the pain and suffering many addicts feel with the chaos their behavior causes.
Even the new villain is a mixed bag, making him one of the most realistic drug dealers on TV rather than a stereotype of the evil, greedy drug kingpin.
This case is one of Stabler's most personal because of younger brother Joey's involvement with heroin.
Law & Order: Organized Crime is on the chopping block, so this could be Stabler's final case. Hopefully not, but if so, at least it's a worthwhile one.
Bernadette was Organized Crime's Mvp Again
The most emotional aspects of the hour involved the subplot about Joey's drug use, especially Joey's scenes with Bernadette.
His brothers' intervention was doomed to fail -- something Stabler really ought to have known would...

Considering what happened at the Stabler family dinner, everyone involved should have known that tensions would rise while Stabler (Christopher Meloni), Randall (Dean Norris), and Joe Jr. (Michael Trotter) help Bernadette (Ellen Burstyn) clean out her old storage unit. TV Insider has an exclusive sneak peek of just that from the March 21 episode of Law & Order: Organized Crime, “Sins of Our Fathers.” “Can’t you just be present for once?” Randall asks while Stabler’s on the phone with Jet (Ainsley Seiger). “Can’t you just be nice for once? He’s got more important things to do than be with family,” Joe counters. As Bernadette looks around, she remarks on all the memories. “We can’t get rid of all this stuff,” she says. But Randall points out she can’t take it with her to her new place since it only has one bedroom. Things take a...

The verdict is in! Melissa Rauch is not guilty of suffering from “the Seinfeld Curse” (if you believe in such things). She wrapped her part as Bernadette on The Big Bang Theory in 2019 and has followed it up nicely with a brand-new role – Judge Abby Stone on the revival of Night Court, now in its second season on NBC (and streaming the next day on Peacock). Rauch is joined on the series by her husband, Winston Rauch, her fellow executive producer on the sitcom made famous by the late Harry Anderson (Judge Harry Stone). TV Insider caught up with Winston for a one-on-one interview when a gaggle of TV critics and reporters were invited to visit the famous Warner Bros. Studios lot earlier this month. Winston chatted about why he took his wife’s surname when they wed, why a few familiar faces are returning to the show later this season,...

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert premiered to a rapturous, midnight-screening reception at Cannes on May 15, 1994. The tart, feel-good comedy follows a trio of Sydney drag queens — Terrence Stamp, Hugo Weaving and Guy Pearce — who travel by bus (that’s Priscilla) to a gig in the Outback, finding their way into hijinks and eye-popping outfits along the way. The film became a crossover sensation and even won an Oscar for its costumes (this despite having a costume budget of approximately $5,000). Its writer-director Stephan Elliott joins THR‘s It Happened in Hollywood podcast this week to reveal all about this making of the comedy classic on the cusp of its 30th birthday. Here are five facinating takeaways from the episode:
Guy Pearce Was Desperate to Shed his Soap Opera Image

May 16, 2019 was a big day for The Big Bang Theory, as fans said goodbye to the beloved comedy after 12 years on-air. Thankfully, fans still had Young Sheldon to watch right after the Bbt series finale, with the season 2 finale of the spinoff airing at 9 p.m. the very same night.
Despite airing after The Big Bang Theory had already ended, this now-classic Young Sheldon episode features a touching moment that “foreshadows” the original series and serves as an immediate reunion for the younger versions of its characters, giving viewers not only a perfect second finale for The Big Bang Theory, but a full-circle moment in Young Sheldon that reminds us there’s always more to the story. Allow us to explain.

Cohen Media Group, the U.S. distribution company behind Matteo Garrone’s Oscar-nominated “Io Capitano,” has acquired North American rights to “The President’s Wife,” a biting movie starring Catherine Deneuve as France’s former first lady Bernadette Chirac.
The deal closed during the European Film Market currently taking place and running alongside the Berlin Film Festival.
The movie, which marks the feature debut of director Léa Domenach, is nominated for a Cesar Award for best first film. The deal was negotiated by Robert Aaronson, executive VP of Cohen Media Group, and Charlotte Boucon, head of world sales at Orange Studio — newly acquired by Studiocanal — on behalf of Warner Bros Picture France.
The film opens in 1995, as Jacques Chirac becomes president of France. “His wife Bernadette now expects to be treated with the respect due to her lifelong work in the shadow of her husband. But mocked as too corny, she’s cast aside.

Lifetime films traffic in a certain kind of narrative, namely infidelity, deception, dark romance, and occasionally murder. Tall, Dark, and Dangerous tackles at least three of these qualities, which is appropriate given the film is set partially around Valentine’s Day, a holiday ripe for sensational, slightly ridiculous narratives.
Following an underwhelming opening sequence in which Mercedes (Griselle Escotto) is menaced by a man on the phone before her house is broken into, the main narrative introduces quintessential Lifetime protagonist Alice Miles (Jamie Bernadette).
Alice is smart, wealthy, and, most importantly for Tall, Dark, and Dangerous, bad at relationships. When the film opens, Alice is promoted to partner at her law firm by her boss Ed (Eric Roberts), something her overly invested Woc work bestie Jane (Alana Walker) wants her to celebrate. Considering the rapidly approaching holiday and Alice’s lack of personal life, Jane boldly forces Alice to “shoot...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 Episode 2 “Deliver Us From Evil.”] Law & Order: Organized Crime officially introduces one of Detective Elliot Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni) brothers (Dean Norris‘ Randall) in the latest episode, and all you need to look at are two moments between the pair to completely understand their dynamic: Randall’s repeated “Go to hell” and Elliot’s refusal to say he’s glad to see him. After Bernadette (Ellen Burstyn) recently thought he was his brother, Elliot calls up Randall, who greets him with, “What do you want?” There’s no small talk with the two; Elliot tells him that their mother wants to see him but likely won’t recognize him, and Randall says he has business in the city, so he’ll be there … but doesn’t tell him when. (There are no goodbyes either.) With that in-person reunion on the horizon, let’s just say we’...

CBS has confirmed that a spin-off of Young Sheldon TV series is in the works, and here are the details.
There’s no denying that The Big Bang Theory has had huge cultural impact. Chuck Lorre’s sitcom about a group of nerds and the gorgeous girl next door ran for almost 300 episodes over 12 seasons.
The show starred Johnny Galecki as Leonard, Kaley Cuoco as Penny, Simon Helberg as Howard, Kunal Nayaar as Raj, Mayim Bialik as Amy and Melissa Rauch as Bernadette, but undoubtably the breakout star was Jim Parsons as socially awkward scientist Sheldon Cooper.
The character became synonymous with certain personality traits, with no understanding of social cues and limited sense of humour, with his catchphrase of sorts, “Bazinga!”, entering the cultural lexicon.
The character’s popularity led to spin-off Young Sheldon in 2017, which saw Iain Armitage take on the title role. It revealed his backstory and...

One of the great restorations of the last year––in the sense that not only is it of pristine quality, but that it invites an underseen gem back into the conversation––is that of Nancy Savoca’s 1993 drama Household Saints, which was executive-produced by Jonathan Demme. Led by Tracey Ullman, Vincent D’Onofrio, Lili Taylor, Judith Malina, Illeana Douglas, and Michael Imperioli, the ambitious, carefully observed drama follows the courtship of an Italian-American family before expanding into a tale of religious conviction. Scripted by Savoca and Richard Guay based on Francine Prose’s novel, the new 4K restoration premiered at New York Film Festival and now Kino Lorber and Milestone Films will open it theatrically on January 12 at the IFC Center. Ahead of the release, we’re pleased to exclusively premiere the new trailer.
