Confirming recent speculation, Namco Bandai Europe announced today that Ace Combat Infinity will be the first free-to-play title in the popular flight series, when it launches for the PlayStation 3 later this year.
“The Ace Combat franchise has evolved dramatically over the years, but never before have we been able to offer its amazing graphics and tactical action for free,” said Olivier Comte, Senior Vice President at Namco Bandai Europe. “The team at Project Aces listens very carefully to its players, and is bringing the best the series has to offer to Ace Combat Infinity, with plenty of new surprises too.”
According to a press release sent out by the publisher, Ace Combat Infinity will include both a brand new story campaign and an online co-op multiplayer mode as part of the free PS3 download. The single player story missions sound as if they will remain true to the series (despite...

Based off the computer-animated television series produced by 41 Entertainment, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures transforms the Pac-Man universe into an entirely new entity. No longer is Pac-Man funneled by tight corridors and stuck in a dull setting; his newest adventure will feature a fully 3D environment and new “powered up” game mechanics. Betrayus and his pack of mischievous Netherworld ghosts are attempting to take the Pac-World by force, and Pac-Man is its only hope.

Namco Bandai Games today announced a new downloadable entry in the long-running Ridge Racer franchise. Headed to Windows PC and PlayStation 3 later this year, "Ridge Racer Driftopia" will be the first free-to-play game in the racing series.
"At Namco Bandai Games we are committed to embracing new business models alongside the still vital traditional retail sector," said Olivier Comte, Senior Vice President, Namco Bandai Games Europe. "Free-to-play is playing an increasingly important role, so it’s very exciting to be bringing one of our most successful franchises to the free-to-play space for everyone to enjoy."
With a name like "Driftopia" its easy to assume the game will involve a bit a drfting, and the trailer above features just that. Considering the game's free-to-play, there's bound to be microtransactions. Let's just hope we'll be able to do more playing than spending.
Namco says more details on "Ridge Racer Driftopia" will be announced soon.

Last year the Psn was graced with a little downloadable title known as Red Johnson's Chronicles and, as you'd expect from any game using the word “chronicles” in the title, the franchise is getting its first sequel this September. However, this release will find its home on PS3, PC and Xbox 360.
The first game in the series had Red Johnson investigating a single murder in his puzzle-based noir world. However, the sequel, dubbed Red Johnson's Chronicles: One Against All, promises fans of the original an all-new story where players will be forced to use in-game tools and their brains to analyze crime scenes and interrogate witnesses.
The first game was only available on Psn, but developer Lexis Numérique has teamed with Namco Bandai to bring the game over to PC and Xbox 360, alongside the PlayStation release.
"We are proud to publish such an original game and support the talented development studio Lexis Numérique,...
