Well i hate to put a dampner on things but..it wasn't that good. Ok, it was good, just not THAT good. I'd heard a lot about it, it's supposed to be a classic, so i was quite disappointed. I found the acting to be somewhat questionable, and as for the rape scene,well, it didn't take him long to get over it. I found each of the main characters slightly annoying, Reynold's character especially, and how many times in the film does Voight have to shout 'Lewis!'? the beginning was exceedingly slow and boring (i made some friends watch it with me and felt slightly embarrassed by it's dullness), and the end is absurd, why did Voight climb the cliff, kill an innocent guy, then climb down? and after all that, how did they get away with it??? that's not to say i hate it, it just wasn't as good as everyone makes it sound.
