"you'll shoot your eye out, kid"

A Christmas classic. This is by far my favorite holiday movie. It is tradition to watch it on Christmas Eve in my family, and we do just that every year. What's not to like? You've got Peter Billingsley as Ralphie, the boy who desperately wants a Red Rider BB gun for Christmas, but many things come between him and his gun, such as his mother, his teacher, and even Santa Clause (this was probably the funniest part).

In between Ralphie's mission to convince his mom and dad to buy his gun, trouble and mis-adventures ensue. There is a nasty bully, his little brother, electric sex gleaming in the window (a leg shaped lamp), tongues and telephone poles, the neighbor's dogs, and a pink bunny outfit (THIS was the funniest part) from Aunt Clara.

For the whole family. This movie always brightens up my holiday season. The one thing that ruins it is watching it when it is past Christmas. Sounds stupid, but when I was younger, I did it a lot. Other than that, it's the best Christmas movie ever! 10/10
