Air Force One (1997)
Well Acted and Directed, Boring Average Plot
1 October 2003
Air Force One is a well directing action film by Wolfgang Peterson and a well acted actioner starring Harrison Ford, Wendy Crewson and Gary Oldman. There's always a brave female character lead, in these films that star male action heroes, who stands up to the villain these days. However the action of the film is routine and doesn't try at all to be original. There's so many deaths in the end of the film that anyone would start laughing at their repetition. It's worse for these co-stars than in a Friday The 13th film. In the movie theater it's great to watch but on the small screen of the TV, it's too much. On the plus side, Wendy Crewson comes off looking like she was made for made=for-TV movies. For her age she's pretty and she demands respect in her role. Glen Close plays the vice-president, who's more of a joke than an actual character. I doubt I'd vote for the Ford-Close ticket soon.
