Bad Characterization, Funny Dialogue
11 October 2003
If you've seen "Batman & Robin" you've got to admit that it's so absurd that it makes you laugh, laugh, and laugh again. The writing and one-liners are hilarious and nonstop. Gov. Arnold, Chris O'Donnell, Uma, Alicia, and George deliver these to perfection.

It is poorly made when it comes to the plot. For instance, Elle McPherson was worthless in this movie. Buy the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues for her looking sexy, which are awesome. Uma captured my heart in this movie like no woman can. She's so beautiful and seductive you get the feeling that a sequel could be made with a romantic touch to it that only Poison Ivy and not Catwoman could accomplish. All the other actors are left providing nearly no depth to their characters. Joel Schumacher blew it in that department. The 'depth' of Bruce Wayne in this movie was nothing more than more of the same that was in the third movie and in that movie it only served to reveal his identity to someone. In this one it serves no purpose. Arnold provides some depth of characterization that makes enjoy his character. Chris O'Donnell and Alicia Silverstone just smile through their parts.

Overall I'd tell anyone to take a chance and rent it if they haven't seen it already. But I wouldn't promise anyone a good complete movie. That's probably why I haven't bought it yet.
