I have watched a film called `Urban Menace'. It is directed by Ice- T, a successful musical artist. The plot of the movie is the following: Snoop Dogg ( that is actually his real name ), who plays a preacher, sees his family get brutally murdered by the vicious gang leaders Big Pun and Fat Joe. For those who not know it, these gentlemen are multimillion copy selling rap-stars.
The once so peaceful preacher decides to revenge the death of his family. This was as much as I understood of the plot. To achieve justice Snoop kills exactly every man that crosses his path. Now it gets really confusing, was he not a preacher? What happened to turning the other cheek? The two gang-leaders get nervous and send out their best men to destroy this threat to them. They do not solve this task with ease because Snoop seems to be a ghost. Do not blame me, this is the actual script. It is totally inconceivable and I really can not understand what the director had in mind when he made this film.
This movie is like a puzzle without any matching pieces. Let us examine the pros and cons. This film, if you can call it that, has no advantages, it stinks. But if we examine the disadvantages it gets interesting.
It is such a bad piece of work that you do not know where to start. The photo for example is hilariously untalented, it is either too dark or too white. You can not make out what you are looking at, is it a wall or perhaps a human being? Let us not talk about the acting because it is if possible worse than the photo.
The main character says approximately five sentences (he must be too busy killing gangsters) and the two gangster bosses are not better either. The acting of Big Pun is really a kind of highlight. Here you have a person who is so fat that his talk turns into a mumble. This makes it impossible to grasp what he is saying.
To sum up, This is actually the worst movie I've ever seen. It sets a new standard, I never thought a movie could be this bad. I don't even think the director liked the final result. I'm sorry for being so negative, but there is absolutely nothing positive to be said about embarrassing load of crap. If you're only going to watch one movie this year, don't let it be this one!
