very COOL remake of william castle's 13 ghosts. o.k. so i'm a classisist. i really don't care for most remakes. there is usually something missing. well, steve beck MUST know his castle cuz this is the best up-dated and intense re-make i've seen in a while. even house on haunted hill (another wlm castle remake) wasn't as trippy and so... CASTLE!! i can see wlm castle really liking this remake. matthew lillard is one of the few new hollywood actors that i like. he accually ACTS!! i understand that method acting opened a lot of new doors in the 60s, but the 90s school of non-acting is excruciating to watch! (ben affleck is a good example of non-acting) the film is freaky, ironic, freaky, engulfing, freaky, intense, freaky, gory (just enough-not too much)... oh, and did i mention...
