I just watched the film and I must say... I enjoyed it... I haven't read the book that it's based on but I intend to... but as with so many films that are based on books, there's always a group of people ready to start whining as soon as the film comes out, cause the film didn't stay true to the book, and start throwing around idiotic phrases like "dumbed down for teenyboppers" and so on... sure, the movie didn't have the same character development as the book is supposed to have had and blahblahblah... but I don't really care... I liked what i saw, i was happy after I saw it, and obviously many other people were, and i don't consider myself "an MTV teenybopper" because of that, like some of the idiots who commented on this movie like to think... and i think that pretty much means that the people making the movie did a pretty good job... it was a good movie in it's own right, and I can't wait to read the book, even though I know what to expect.... 8/10
