Not to be taken seriously.

This is a movie that tries to be fun. It isnt Narc, Training Day or Dark Blue. It would never win an oscar for script or acting... but it doesnt try to either. If you dont take it seriously, this movie is entertainment that may cheer up a bad day. And its really a piece of eye candy. The director is also involved in "FastLane" and you can see one true connection between the two - colors. McG defenitly likes colors. Everywhere through the movie you see scenes that are filled with shiny, colorful vehicles and clothing, oddly lighted or color-enhanced scenes.

The name of the movie "Full Throttle" couldnt be more true. I do not believe that there are any other movie with such supreme actionscenes and humanly impossible moves. Its so filled with unrealism, that you either must ignore it quickly, or turn off the movie in the first ten minutes. If you do that, you are no fun. Actionscenes involve things like standing on your head of a motorcycle in air, releasing both arms, draw two guns, fire a couple of shots, grab the handle again, and get down on the motorcycle before it reaches the ground. Or what about being pulled by a rope up through the cealing, and taking one of the boards that comes free (in air), and use it to "skate" down a rope on the outside.

Besides the computerenhanced/trickfilmed superactionscenes, this is a comedy. Many scenes are just there for laughs, as when Alex's (Lucy) boyfriend (Matt LeBlanc) tries to explain to Alex's father (John Cleese) what she is doing for a living. Naturally it all sounds like she is an extreme prostitute.

If you like comedy, or unrealisticly beautiful actionscenes, then watch it. If you are looking for a deep psychological drama, ignore it like ebola.
