The makers of this film obviously read the quite terrifying story by Stephen King and thought "Hey, its scary as a book, let's make it into a film!" Bad Idea. This was a great story, it certainly did not include poor Robert Englunds revolting sadistic character, and the machine itself is just ludicrous. This was just a simple scary story about a very suspicious laundry machine, it sounds silly and certainly looked that way as a film but it really is a great read, for anyone who is interested it is part of a collection of stories in "Night Shift" by Stephen King (which by the way also includes "Children of the Corn" and "The Lawnmower Man". This should never have been made into a film, especially such a cheesy ridiculous one as this. Don't bother.
