Showtime (2002)
2/10
Blowtime
21 January 2005
After De Niro destroys a network's property in the midst of chasing down a criminal, they threaten to press charges unless he does a realty TV show with Eddie Murphy. Listen, Eddie, I know you've been in a huge slump and the little talented you had after the '80's ended was sucked from you by that transvestite, but bro, don't let your aura of badness take down Robert De Niro too. He can pull out of the funk that he's currently in. You can not. This Showtime movie sucked as much as ANY other live action movie you've done since the '90's (barring "Life" which I liked). Stick to your "Shrek" films. And Tom Dey, I'm let down, "Shanghai Noon" was an entertaining film. This isn't.

My Grade: D

DVD extras: Commentary with Tom Dey, Jorge Saralegui and Billy Webber; HBO first look featurette; deleted scenes; filmographies; Theatrical Trailer
