My wife loved this movie so much that we named my daughter Genna. My daughter is 17 now and this was the first time that I've actually watched the movie. I just bought it on DVD for her birthday. She hadn't seen the movie for over 25 years. It turned out that she remembered it all wrong. Thought it was an East coast story, it's not. The DVD copy is of poor quality, I think it was originally filmed on video, then transferred to film, then disk?? If you're the right audience, then I can see the appeal of this film. This is a "chick flick" probably the grand daddy of all "chick flicks". I rated the film a "10" because that's how my daughter turned out :-) Enjoy the film.
