This is the story of the warrior Jubei, bent on destroying the evil demonic power that threatens the Japanese way of life. He fights all sorts of famous swordsmen turned demonic and he kicks ass.
The plot itself is OK, however a lot of useless names, clan names and family ties appear in the film, as well as an attempt to place it in a historical setting. This should have been a fight flick and that would have been it.
Unfortunately, even if the scenes are very nice graphically, they fall short when fighting is involved. At least the fights seems real enough, with no super powers, shinning things or telekinesis, but they are not spectacular, as I feel they should have been, in the martial art area.
All in all, I think it is a promising movie failing to deliver on its promises.
