I had such high hopes for Kidnapped when I first heard about it last year, the people who would be involved, the quality (money) they were spending on it. You just knew NBC had high hopes, too. Unfortunately, in their ongoing quest to deal out as much profits to the head people running the network as possible, Kidnapped suffered from their unrealistic and illogical, poor attempts to advertise this show. No interviews, no visits to shows like Today Show or Letterman, no nothing, except a few views of one scene of the first episode. No one knew that the show was a mystery; they didn't understand it, so they stayed away. NBC made no more attempts to understand or fix the problem; they just dropped it because, according to the higher-ups, it was too expensive to produce, and they'd rather put out game shows so as to get more profit.
Unfortunately, they lost the opportunity to create a franchise along the terms of CSI or Law & Order. It was that good. And they blew it.
