Nikola Tesla (1977)
5/10
A decent basic biography
19 May 2007
This biographic documentary is nothing special, but it covers the life of Tesla in a sensible way without resorting to sensationalist urban legend.

The documentary is apparently a Yugoslav production, which is useful in providing access to Tesla's personal papers and lab equipment, as these were returned to Yugoslavia following his death. The film is a bit padded with references to Tesla's official rewards and other official certifications of his importance, but this is in itself revealing, showing the insecurities of Yugoslavians as to their place in the world. Again this documentary is nothing special, but it is functional.
