This is a good account of true modern-day Navajo warrior who felt the need to find himself while trying to make the Olympics for the U.S. The unfortunate thing was that he went down the wrong path for a little while there when he experimented with the booze. I didn't personally agree with Mr. Spears' character in that aspect because I just don't understand what the hell it is that attracts Native folks to alcohol!! They're not stupid since they already know it's bad for them yet it's something negative that keeps drawing them towards it! I don't know what it is. Of course, no one can't tell them what to do.... they can do whatever they want with their lives. It's just not fair for the ones who are sober and are ahead in their lives. I don't think it's their fault for their problems. It's some sort of negative force they can't control. That's what's causing their problems. I blame this negative force and the whites for indirectly ramming the stuff down their throats all these generations. I think it was simply a matter of a systematic process of destruction that whites had intended for them the minute the first whites set their feet onto Turtle Island. The sad reality is that it worked and it's just something that will never go away!! The white problem will haunt Native folks for as long as they survive. Fortunately enough, no one will EVER break their spirits which is why they're such tenacious survivors!!

But... ANYWAYS.... that's another matter altogether. As far as this film goes, I chose to give it a 7 for the above reasons. I can only give my personal views on this film and I believe I've done so.
