It has it's ups and downs.

Warning: Spoilers
I didn't go see this movie in theaters because It didn't look interesting enough. However, when it first came to video, I rented it right away. It's a Happy Madison film, so I didn't expect much originality, but I figured it had the potential to be somewhat hilarious - plus it was rated R and Adam Sandler didn't appear in it -- WooHoo. Sandler was funny at one point, until he kept playing the same character over and over again.

Anyway, Grandma's Boy was an awesomely hilarious film. Since Allen Covert was going to play a big part in this film too, It intrigued me. Also, Steve Zahn has always been hilarious to me. I wasn't too disappointed. The movie was everything I thought it would be. I did get a lot of laughs out of it. It was corny as hell, and that's what made it so funny.

I could have done without Peter Dante in this one. Luckily, he doesn't come out in the film too much. His voice is annoying. Also, Jonah Hill is hilarious, but that "hick" accent was kind of stupid. He should have just used his regular voice. Justin Long did okay. He's improved a lot since doing that shitty Britney Spears film "Crossroads." All their antics and hijinks worked well. Some of the cameos added to the humor.

Bottom Line - If you're a fan of stupid, corny, and fun comedies, then you should check this movie out. Otherwise, wait for it to come out on Comedy Central.
