I was rather amazed when I read through the reviews how tough many of the reviewers were towards this film. In particular, there were a lot of complaints about the story and the voice acting. However, I see this quite differently--considering that this was made by relatively inexperienced folks using open source software, the end results are amazing. In particular, the CGI is amazing--very fluid and beautiful. So, although the story is a bit odd and unconventional, I see it as a very, very good film regardless--it is an important film to the history of computer generated animation.
For an even better and practically perfect film, try BIG BUCK BUNNY--made by many of the same people that worked on ELEPHANTS DREAM. It's quality, for the first time, truly rivals the output from Pixar and Dreamworks.
