4/10
Not really very good.
1 February 2010
I could have left it with just the 4-star rating and been done with it but maybe, just maybe, someone wants my take on it.

The film is hopeless as cut. Tina Fey looked bored, Jennifer Garner was trying way too hard and what the hell was with Rob Lowe: two-day stubble and a hoarse whisper throughout? I think they shot all of his scenes in one day and man, did he phone it in.

The opening (as also rendered by another reviewer) is destroyed by the narration. The precept that inventing lying produced a dogma of religious connotation and the pathetic theme that all non-Lowe, non-Garner people are losers really sank what could have been a terrific idea for a film.

Well, I've wasted enough kilobytes here. Onwards and upwards (I hope).

Better luck next time Ricky.
