With John's social life at a standstill and his ex-wife about to get remarried, a down on his luck divorcé finally meets the woman of his dreams, only to discover she has another man in her life - her son.

Still single seven years after the breakup of his marriage, John has all but given up on romance.

But at the urging of his ex-wife and best friend Jamie, John grudgingly agrees to join her and her fiancé Tim at a party.

To his and everyone else's surprise, he actually manages to meet someone: the gorgeous and spirited Molly. Their chemistry is immediate.

The relationship takes off quickly but Molly is oddly reluctant to take the relationship beyond John's house.

Perplexed, he follows her home and discovers the other man in Molly's life: her son, Cyrus....

Forgive if I am wrong, but why are so many people going on about this not being funny? Is it because Jonah Hill features in comedy movies so this must be a comedy. No wonder Bruce Willis flopped with In Country. Actors can change star in whatever films they get offered, so don't worry if you find Jonah Hill in a thriller one day, chances are it won't be Get Him To The Greek.

On the other hand, this is a cool Indie movie about an almost Norman Bates. And what makes the film a little unsettling is the fact that Cyrus has no motivation for what he is doing. He loves his mother yes, but at no point in the film does he appear to be obsessed. he just appears to be doing it out of sheer boredom.

This may sound shallow, but once you get your head round the fact that Tomei and Reilly are a couple, you get a fun, bright movie, with plenty of laughs and a lot of drama and soul searching.

It won't be to everyones taste, the cinematography is not good, but doesn't deter you away from what is going on on screen.

The chemistry between the leads is fantastic, and all the support are good too.

A left-field movie for sure, but original
