I found "Before We Say Goodbye" to be both lighthearted and heartwarming, with a universal message of family love which transcends cultural boundaries. Director Paul Davids brings out the best in his actors, who reveal themselves as members of a four-generation Hispanic family with many layers. Ramona's devout faith is an inspiration to all who question the possibility of miracles, and prevails despite the problems presented by a cantankerous and crusty grandmother, four children, and the poignant but humorous dysfunction of her family. The film is enhanced by the emotive music of Rebekah Del Rio, along with scenery which captures the heart of Hispanic culture.
