Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar team up for the first and last time in the 90's and brings a hit film known as Suhaag. The film is an original film made by the awesome Sandesh(Kuku) Kohili. This guy made Devgan's debut Phool Aur Kaante and a few other hits with Ajay Devgan. Akshay Kumar and Kuku's first and last film is also this. The story is typical yet it is well handled and the use of comedy in the first half is effective and the twist is good, not great though. The film is average-good in the first half, second half become good. The story is like this, Akshay and Ajay are two good college friends(typical), they are living their lives and getting into trouble as time passes through college. Akshay's dad wants Ajay to become a good worker in Canada if he wants all that good money. Ajay agrees and to get him a passport, he needs his birth certificate. Now, from here after all the romantic and comic stuff, the movie picks up and thw twist is revealed. Ajay learns that his dad is not dead and his mom has lied to him. His dad is in prison in Canada for selling illegal organs. Now, the duo go to Canada and solve the problems and bring Ajay's dad to justice. The movie becomes an action film and the climax is well handled with a decent action scene. Amongst actors, Ajay and Akshay both impress and entertain in both halfs, heroines are decent, supporting cast and Aruna Irani is good. Everyone is pretty good. Direction is good but not as good as Phool Aur Kaante and Haqeeqat for Ajay Devgan. Music is decent, too many songs though. Overall, another movie that worked and was a hit.
