Just got home from seeing the new Ghost Rider movie. I must say beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is the worst movie that I have ever watched. They almost completely ignored the first movie. The flashback of Johnny Blaze signing the contract was totally different than what happened in the first movie.
The CGI cutaways of Ghost Rider urinating fire were not necessary and had no place in the story line. The CGI scenes of the bad guy "decaying" his victims were poorly done as well. I have seen better CGI scenes on my PS3 console. The plot of the movie was both simple and thin. The mother/son relationship between Nadya and Danny was not believable at all. The Ghost Rider is an angel who was captured and tortured to insanity according to this movie. I thought the CGI for this scene would be interesting but came across very cartoon like.
Every performer in this movie seemed like they were just going through the motions, in other words, very little feeling. The producer, director, and actors DESTROYED this franchise. Sadly, there was not even one believable performance through the entire movie. This should have been a straight to DVD release or not even made at all.
