This movie was entertaining, upbeat and absolutely hilarious in parts. There was no bad language/sex or violence ... what a pleasant change! Midler and Crystal were professional and believable as was the rest of the cast. As the temperature is 41 degrees Celsius here today, the theatre was packed with an audience who had not been particular about their movie selection, yet all were absorbed and most laughed enthusiastically at the punchlines (even those that have been around a few times before.) I am so glad that I didn't take on board the reviews of those professional 'critics' who mostly panned it. I thoroughly recommend it for adults and older kids. It was an uplifting experience.
