Hardcore Pawn (2009–2015)
7/10
Entertaining if you know what to expect
2 July 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I've seen a lot of reviews saying people were expecting something similar to Pawn Stars. This is TruTV everybody. Their slogan is "TruTV: Not Reality, Actuality." A.K.A. the shows are as fake as can be. This show is so cheesy, anyone that thinks they are so bright to have uncovered the horrific truth that the show is staged, is an absolute moron. Of course it's staged. There are, however, some instances when there is some genuine emotion involved, but those are few and far between. Other than that, there is probably 10 minutes of legitimate reality TV per season on this show.

I am from the Detroit area originally and took my fiancée there because we watch the show. I saw them do a second take with a customer. That's right, a second take on a ''reality'' TV show. So before you give this show an honest rating... know that it is FAKE (Oh and that's the "Spolier alert" --- big shocker, I know).

Now, if you can get past the fact that it's fake... this show is pretty hilarious. The employees attempting to act is an absolute train wreck. The story lines the producers have come up with to keep the family feuding are so pathetic that you can't turn away. The absurd things the ''customers'' will do are so dumb you can't help but laugh. I'm not laughing with the show, I'm laughing at the show. Their attempts at making it 100% realistic are pathetic yet amazingly pathetic. So yes, I agree the actual show itself is awful, but that's what makes it awesome. I gave it a 7 because it still makes me laugh and tune in, regardless of why I'm doing it.
