Okay lets cut to the chase GHOST RECON ALPHA is a not so much a short film but a 20 minute advert for a video game of the same name . That said if you want 20 minutes of shoot 'em up carnage in a Boys Own adventure then this is the short film for you and is much better than some of Tom Clancy's written prose . Anyone remember the novel PATRIOT GAMES ? I rest my case
What the makers have done is take a leaf out of Paul Verhoeven's book and set it in a very recognisable setting of an urban former communist country . You might have to suspend some disbelief that former Soviet technology invested a lot of time and effort in to creating cybernetics but no one claims this type of action adventure shoot them up has to be one hundred per cent realistic
I'm not a massive fan of either James Bond or CALL OF DUTY type shooting games but this is a very impressive short action film to tie in with a release of a video game and if you're addicted to video games then this is a short film you'll certainly enjoy
