Giant Sized Fun.
5 December 2013
Short of original scripts to use and having run out of old classics to remake, Hollywood decides to turn to Fairy Stories for inspiration. During their tireless search, they stumbled across 'Jack And The Beanstalk.' "I know", said one, with dollar signs in his eyes "We'll retitle it Jack The Giant Slayer so it sounds more bloody, we'll have not just have one giant... but HUNDREDS, and we'll computer generate them, cos ya know... 200ft actors are quite hard to find. Then we'll cast that nerk from About A Boy in the lead role, have Ewan McGregor tag along for box office reasons and have the head giant voiced by Davy Jones himself... Bill Nighy. And seeing them fight the humans en masse during the climax is an exhilarating experience indeed. It's also very funny... mostly revolving around the disgusting personal habits of the giants. Note to self: Never invite any of them to my next dinner party.. That is, unless I want to clear the room.

So, more than worth a look then... What? Oh, alright I'll say it FE FI FO FUM, I SMELL THE... 7/10
