I'm giving this 3 stars. One for Leary, who is always likable ........ one for Sandy B. who always brings it, and one for the great scenery. At present, TWO IF BY SEA is averaging 5.1 stars, which leads me to believe that the contributors have not watched the film. I like to think that without the Bullock/Leary combination, very few of us would ever have heard of this movie. Although the scenery is second to none, the film's attempt at down-home maritime flavor is off-putting. Most Hollywood A-lister production teams could have made this film work, but it was doomed from the start. Not far into the film, it reminded me of bad Canadian television that I had grown up with. If you were to bring up the subject "Two if by Sea" in front of Denis Leary, he would probably go Gary Busey on you, or at the very least ........ leave the room. Some might call this film a stepping stone to bigger and better things, I'd refer to it as a bitter disappointment !!!!!!!!!
