very moving film about a man going to the funeral of the wife he abandoned 30 years before. roger is a very interesting character study. loner cab driver with a heart of gold. William McCallum gives a bravado performance as Roger. the tag line "roger only started living once he learned he was dying" fits perfectly. This film is deeply touching, humorous, sad and happy all at once. Michael McCallum directs in a manner that gets the best out of all the performers. Scooter the dog gets a nod for best supporting actor. The cast does an admirable job with some tough subject matter. The soundtrack is also top-notch. For a locally produced picture, it provides the depth of a big budget Hollywood picture. The entire cast and crew did an amazing job.
