Racist Allegations out of Proportion.. until you watch it
16 April 2015
I wanted to be fair and avoid calling out a show that I had never seen before, so I sat down and gave it a chance before making this. Admittedly, watching this show became increasingly difficult as I found the criticisms to be true with every scene. I don't know if this counts as a spoiler, but I cringed a little as the only male leads that were given any dialogue were White. Surprisingly, I was able to spot an Asian male in the background at one point, and when I say spot, I mean it was basically a Where's-Waldo scenario of finding this guy in one crowd of one scene.

"Resist the temptation to review on other reviews or features visible on the page."

This is one of the guidelines for posting reviews on IMDb. It's actually kind of funny that of the four reviews here, one review has about 2-3 sentences dedicated to reviewing the actual show and an entire paper dedicated to responding to ticklegear's review of the show. Not that past credentials matter, but of the two nay-sayers to any racism, their total experience on IMDb is of reviewing this one show with a combined membership time of about 3 weeks. Interestingly, the bitter "racist" ticklegear has been on IMDb for about 9 years and written 113 reviews of various movies and shows. It's a really tough call on who seems to have an agenda and who's the objective, experienced reviewer, so I'll leave that up to those reading this.

In all honesty though, I recommend this show be given at least one viewing. It's very difficult to appreciate the complete absence of Asian males without watching the show one time. Every male character that is introduced: white guy, every scene that has an undertone of sexual attraction: white guy, the main back up dancers that aren't part of the mosh-pit scenes: to be fair, there was a white guy and a black guy, so at least not everyone is being excluded.
