Warning: Spoilers
OK Kanmani (2015) Review: A powerful comeback for the Ace director Maniratnam after his yester year's failure "Kadal". OK Kanmani is a romantic drama that revolves between two energetic career focused youngsters of this fast generation.

Story: The concept is pretty simple it highlights about the concept of live-in relationship as we could have guessed from the trailer and promos. Adhi and Tara are two equal minded people bump into each other and decide to go on a live-in relationship until they take their major career path in abroad. Both of them do not believe in the institution of marriage. So they live together with no commitments and no hurt feelings. It's like a bond with no strings attached. What happens to them at the end whether they sustain on their decisions or they both unite in marriage that will be the climax?

Cast: Dulquer as Adhi a video game designer and Nithya as Tara an architect both live in the cosmo/metro culture of Mumbai. Dulquer simply fits the shoes of an urban boy of this generation with his acting, style and dressing. Sure he will have huge female followings after this flick. The lead lady Nithya Menon is beautiful, talented has emoted very well. Ms Menon is pretty short but managed to grab the hearts of all men. She reminded me of Revathi certain scenes. Prakash Raj and Leela Samson as the epitome of love of age old understanding couple adds a parallel story to the frame.

Technicalities: The technical team of this movie is pretty strong. Lovely music from the Oscar winner ARR is simply superb particularly "Mental Manadhil" has emerged out as the youth song today. BGM was perfect mixed well in between Mani's silence in screen play. Lyrics by Vairamuthu were simply viral of love. Cinematography was one factor which showed the ordinary places very beautifully PC has captured the lovely romance between the leads frame by frame. As usual we don't see even a single abroad shot as the director's always believes in the beauty of India. For the first time I felt watching lots of clichéd scenes didn't make me feel bored rather it made me feel fresher and entertaining because of Maniratnam's direction.

Verdict: We can call this as a prequel to Alaipauthey. So get in and soak in love.
