Atmospheric isn't enough

Warning: Spoilers
"Nocturne" is a Danish 8-minute film from 35 years ago written and directed by the controversial filmmaker Lars von Trier. The actress we see in here has never been in another film and also only her first name is listed, but the two actresses we hear actually managed prolific careers in German film and television in the decades after this short film. In terms of this film here, von Trier was in his early 20s when he made it, but was far from a rookie at this point already. It is a nicely atmospheric watch, but even as an experimental movie, the action is simply too random and uninteresting. This is quite a shame as the fear of light or even an allergy is a pretty interesting idea to put in a movie. However, it needs better execution for sure. Not recommended.
