Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... I say it because while I sat
through this atrocious movie, one of my friends thoroughly enjoyed it..
he was watching it for the second time. He also watched the pointless
garbage by Gautham Menon called Vaaranam Aayiram more than 10 times in
theater... I hope that gives you an idea.
'Charlie' has absolutely no story, no conflict or suspense. Its more
like a film on 'How to be a Hipster'. Also, 'Tessa'the lead character
has no qualities other than that she is a cute hipster girl. The movie
plays up Charlie's 'one with the universe, mysterious man-angel'
character so much, it put me in permanent state of cringe till the end
of the movie.
I give no points for technical aspects or performances because with
such a lack of story, this movie should not have been made at all.
It will be very difficult to avoid this film, considering there are no
promising films out right now. But try your best to stay home esp. if
you felt that 'Vaaranam Aayiram' and the recent 'Premam' were lame.
