Bad luck for Akshaye Khanna
6 February 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Im sorry to start the review with such a headline, but it's really sad that a talented actor like Akshaye Khanna has to face this, this guy is one of the finest actors we have but sadly perhaps his movie choices made him to see this day. Gali Gali Chor Hai was his last release till date and Im waiting to see him back in action. The film is directed by Rumi Jaffrey who gave us Life Partner before which too didn't work. This film tries to encash on the then Anna Movement which was a rage, The film could've succeeded had it been handled with more conviction. The initial scenes are well handled like the Annu Kapoor-Akshaye Khanna portions, but the Ram Leela part could be better justaxposed. Also the way things are handled towards the end don't work, though the scene where Akshaye slaps the culprits is well handled, the film ends on an abrupt note rightaway.

Direction is below the mark Music is okay

Akshaye Khanna is superb in his role, he gives it all and emerges triumps, its the script that lets him down Mughda Ghodse and Shreya Saran are okay Satish Kaushik is good, Murli Sharma is as usual Annu Kapoor is superb, rest are okay
