A Miner Character or a Rocky Subject
25 February 2016
Bullwinkle learns of the death of his Uncle Dewlap and his inheritance of a mysterious mine. So he and Rocky head off for Mount Flatten. What do you know? There is a mysterious, skulking figure waiting for the boys. After a knife is thrown at him, and then when he is almost done in by a briefcase full of TNT, it is apparent that this mine must be important. They end the episode as they journey over a road with hundreds of land mines under it. So we know there is something really significant that others want.

The under card this time is an Aesop called "The Hare and the Frog" where a typically timid rabbit becomes the "Top Critter" in the jungle by having the ability to wiggle his ears. For no explainable reason, this seems to neutralize any threat from the most powerful creatures. Dudley Do Right's offering involves the abduction of his horse (actually, the only horse in the camp). Snidely dresses up as an attractive horse and lures the poor steed away from Dudley. Soon the morale of the entire camp is at ground zero. Dudley is beside himself and stumbles out to rescue the horse. It's pretty funny.
