SCHWABENKINDER Excellent film about the human drama of alpine children.

Yes, a film for TV, high quality, directed by Jo Baier and released in 2003. I had not seen that time, but these days I could do it. It is based on the human, socioeconomic, historical drama of children belonging to poor families in the Alpine snows (the Schawenkinder) which were handed over by their parents to cushion poverty, being offered in the market to be hand for seasonal casual laborers work in the fields or servants ladies / gentlemen (child exploitation, slavery SXIX) although in its early historical events dating from S XVI / SXVII. The long journey by snow in inhospitable climate to Swabia (Baden-Wuerttemberg today and Bavaria in Germany). This story is based on Kaspar, a child of 8 years from Tirol (Austria) .Through him, his drama, we will know who the Schwabenkinder. I will not say any more.Just say that was totally unaware of the subject and the fiction film is educational and other cultural and historical context. The performance of child actor that moment Thomas Unterkircher as Kaspar is excellent, a great job and are very good also Hary Prinz as Kaspar adult (who in his reunion with the father makes the flash back in its history), Tobias Moretti as the Cooperator and Vadim Glowna as the father of Kaspar. I highly recommend this movie.
