The host, Craig Ferguson, revolutionized the dull and monotonous format of talk shows with the Late Late Show. He is a visibly intelligent, well read, affable, and kind person. I think my IQ increased by a few points watching his show. His show is incredibly funny, mostly because of his unique comedic style and how well it is complemented by Josh Robert Thompson, who plays various characters on the show. The show consists of characters like a pantomime horse, a gay robot skeleton, a rabbit who cusses a lot, and a talking rhino head. Craig somehow manages to combine these absurd elements into a show that would put most other shows to shame. It is delightful to see first time guests on the show, who arrive knowing nothing about Craig, but gradually loosen up to him like they normally wouldn't on a talk show. The show has a cult following, and there are thousands of clips from his how uploaded on YouTube. I don't watch any other talk shows, because I don't care much for celebrities and their lives, but I love The Late Late Show because of the sheer brilliance of Craig Ferguson and JRT.
