In fact, this is a tragedy comedy. First of all, you should watch it to meet one of the best Turkish man. If there is a movie that made by Cem Yılmaz, you need to watch it without all of bias. Everyone has a big demand about comedy if the point is Cem Yılmaz but i think he is more successful when he is trying to manage or act drama. I like all of the movies he made, actually except ''Ali baba .....''. However ''hokkabaz'' is more real than the others, maybe that's why it impressed me more.
Besides all these, the movie provide you to see Tracian province of Turkey and the nature of course because this is a road trip movie in fact. So don't waste your time and watch it. As i said, not perfect but has to be watched.
