Hope is just a dirty four letter word.

Warning: Spoilers
Meaning the hope we had that the series would go out with a BANG and give us a 2-hour finale with lots of mystery, twist and turns, betrayals, and an amazing reveAl. I guess Spencer was right all along: Hope breeds eternal misery.

Two stars but only because Troian slayed and is the queen to end all queens. Writers took the easy way out with this twin storyline. They could literally have googled and come up with fan theories that were much better and with less plot holes than what we just had to witness on our screens. I feel cheated and don't feel closure, at all.

They just dropped all of the story lines they had established in S7 (the Lucas-Charles connection, Jenna being AD's minion and many more...probably) and turned one of the most intriguing (and shady) characters into a necklace...and Melissa had like two seconds of screen time? I know she has another show, but why bring her back at all if she's not relevant to the plot? What was the whole point of bringing her back? For Mona to wear her mask? Why was that even necessary...oh yeah, so everyone would think that she's AD...but then OH SHOCKER...it's a mask. Who are they trying to fool...

On top of that, Hanna, Aria and Emily played secondary roles in the finale of their own damn show. It felt like they were just there for the relationship drama... Why didn't they figure out who AD is or at least try to? Why Jenna and Toby? And after 5 minutes they find the house where Spencer and Ezra were being held captive? What, Alex was just like "you're right Mona, time for plan B (no pun intended), I am AD and I'm also Spencers twin btw, here's my secret location, come and find me"?? Yeah right, MARLENE!

I have so much more to say but I can't find the words... rant over!
