Sahara Cross (1977)
4/10
Disappointing desert-set thriller

Warning: Spoilers
I didn't think much of SAHARA CROSS, an Italian thriller set in the desert that sees Franco Nero playing an engineer who ends up hunting a brutal gang of terrorists in order to get revenge on them. This was filmed in Tunisia, so it has plenty of authenticity, but as a film it's pretty much a dud and hard to sit through at times. Nero is a reliable star at all times but he seems a bit goofy here, while Tonino Valerii's action sequences are surprisingly inept, lacking style and elegance. You'd be better off sticking with one of the many police films that Nero made during the 1970s instead.
