A two-part special offering with live lions playing an important part at the climax. In quality, it is interesting and does not lack dramatic suspense; indeed, it is a very fair offering as a feature. Its worst defect is rather misty photography which keeps the scenes from having art effects, they don't seem to be in themselves alive, are even, in places, artificial. It is not the best wild animal offering the Selig Company has produced, but will go very well. - The Moving Picture World, June 14, 1913
