Good but couldn't quite believe the character

I'm hesitant to even go as high as 7. I really did enjoy what turned out to be an original idea for a prison movie.

Sorry, not sorry, I didn't for a minute believe Vince Vaughn was a tough guy. He isn't all that muscular, he doesn't really have the quiet brooding type down and for being 6'5", looks kinda weenie. He's a great comedic actor and I think that got in the way for me here.

Jen Carpenter did a great job playing the obedient and subservient wife. Don Johnson was a waste of a paycheck; didn't bring anything of value to the character.

The graphic violence was just that, graphic for the sake of gore and not even done very well.

All in all I loved the script. The cinematography was good but the acting, directing and editing ruined a much better movie. I think this was a vanity project for Vaughn. Well, there's that...
