Gargoyles: Cheesy 70's horror effort
8 December 2017
With the opening monologue I actually expected a lot more, yes it was biblical but it was entertaining and for that reason I thought Gargoyles might deliver.

Sadly it wasn't meant to be, this extremely cheesy horror effort was one of those films I struggled to take seriously.

Telling the story of a father and daughter in the middle of the desert seeking a relic who become under attack from gargoyles. These creatures look very much like they'd be at home battling Captain Kirk with polystyrene rocks.

It's not without it's merits, overall the film is well made and looks great. Sadly that doesn't make up for being overwhelming flawed.

The Good:

Production quality is surprisingly high

Opening background story is interesting

The Bad:

Gargoyles look pretty damn dodgy

Hardly gripping stuff

Pants finale

Things I Learnt From This Movie:

I could write a book on the goofs made in this movie
