Dark Wings, Dark Words isn't quite as good as the season opener, as it ventures out beyond its best characters.

Bran goes from being a spry full of life boy to one of the most annoying characters I've ever seen on television, along with his party. Brienne and Jaime continue their journey but run into trouble. This pairing's one of my favourites, Jaime preys on Brienne's heart, but deep down she gets to him. Sansa tells Margaery and Lady Olena the truth about Joffrey and is offered help to leave by Littlefinger. We catch up with Arya and her companions on their way to Riverrun. Gendry: But just explain it to me. He offered to have any three people you wanted dead. All you had to do was give him the names. Anyone. You could have picked King Joffrey. Arya: Shut up! Gendry: You could have picked Tywin Lannister. Arya: Jaqen got us out of Harrenhal. So why are you complaining? Gendry: Because you could have ended the war!
I don't recall Daenerys being in this episode and Tyrion and Jon weren't in much of it.
