Plausible premise and plenty of drama
30 October 2018
3% introduces a time where there two worlds - one Inland where people are poor and resources are scarce, and the High Sea which is like Heaven on Earth, everything is available and life is perfectly sustainable.

So what is the catch?

Only 3% of people can be allowed to live in the High Sea, and the others are doomed to roam in the precarious Inland.

The 1st season is about the brutal process you undergo at 18 years old to decide whether or not you are able to move to the sought after High Sea.

As discussion about overpopulation, polution, lack of food emerge in the real world, 3%'s premise is actually not as farfetched as the scyfy genre label may suggest.

The show is brutal in showing what the promise of a better life can lead some to do, and it has plenty of twists and unexpected turns and the characters go throught the selection process.

If oyu think Brazil is all about soap novelas, this is a very good place to start.
