Great mystery, police thriller, spoiled by bad casting

Were it not by a misleading casting of one character, this could have been a wonderful thriller. I am sorry, but the actress performing the Judge Castro character displays such a profound lesbian look and persona, that makes it impossible to swallow the several hetero flirting scenes she is on. She looks like a man (in fact, she has performed on theater stage as one many times). For a sweet and warm mom of a boy and a young girl, who is also a stern Judge and terribly unethical and cinical woman, the character asked for Laura Linney, or Meryl Streep or Glenn Close type of actress. All scenes with this actress are somewhat disturbing because of the paradox of watching a manly person acting as if a nice and cute milf. So, the above mentioned scenes look amazingly fake, and it weakens the whole story.
