Christmas in Connecticut (1992 TV Movie)

Why remake a classic?
27 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Director Arnold Schwarzenegger just can't capture the humor and outstanding presentation of the original Barbara Stanwyck classic of 1945. Dyan Cannon plays successful cookbook author Elizabeth Blaine trying to fool the TV audience into believing she is a better homemaker and cook than she actually is. Tony Curtis is the lecherous TV producer with a huge ego responsible for pulling off the broadcast featuring Miss Blaine treating a lucky woodsman Kris Kristofferson to an over-the-top Christmas meal. The chemistry is just not there. The whole Christmas theme seems to be missing. I guess you can say that Cannon and Kristofferson may have the physical appeal, but are the wrong couple to recreate any magic. This made for TV movie although is worth watching.
