"Enklava" tells the story of a young boy who lives in an enclave caught between the struggles of war and neighborhood. When he tries to arrange a proper burial for his dead grandfather, he soon has to learn that nationality can count more in the eyes of the people than personality or human warmth.

The film is basically a narration and thus feels slower and less loud than your average wartime movie. It depicts how the conflict influences both adults and children, that mainly don't even understand the roots of the dissense. In many ways it looks like many other arthouse films and you can see from the arrangement and the production that it is supposed to carry an important message. I have to say that the film grew on me after watching it but still I could think of a few more on-point scenes in order to really emotionalize the audience for this important topic.

All in all this is a very original and one of a kind film that touches important questions and makes important statements without ever getting loud or forcing them on someone. In terms of storytelling I see some ununsed potentials but all in all it is definitely worth a watch, not the least because of the important message it carries.
